Women Self Help Group

Among the activities to be implemented this year is a project aiming at setting up women self-help groups in Kiberia. Located in Nairobi, Kiberia is the largest turban slum in Africa. The overall goal of the project is the economic independence of women. Each self-group will work towards creating and selling traditional jewelry and handicrafts from Kenya. Funds for the project are limited and there is the need for voluntary participation.
The main objective is creating awareness about this entrepreneurial initiative and gathering support in terms of funds and manpower to ensure successful completion of the project.
